Make videos from Claude and ChatGPT
Connect SpliceReel to the assistant you already use, then ask for what you want in plain words: edit a clip into a reel, change the captions, write a script, plan the post. No new app to learn.
What you can ask
“Edit this video into a 45-second reel with the cinema look”
Starts a new edit from a link to your raw video; you open the editor link once and the AI edit runs.
“Make the captions bigger and add a list of the three tips”
Changes a ready video, saved as a new version you can undo in the editor.
“Write me a 30-second script about my new menu”
Writes a script and gives you a teleprompter link to record it.
“Write the caption and hashtags for my latest video”
Makes a post kit: captions, hashtags, a YouTube title and five hooks.
“Translate the captions into Spanish”
Translates captions, titles and scenes from what was actually said.
“Plan it on my calendar for Friday on TikTok”
Adds the post to your content calendar.

Two steps still happen in your browser, because that is where your video is processed: reading the speech of a new video, and rendering the final MP4. Your assistant gives you the link to open for each.
Questions
Which assistants work?
Claude (web, desktop and mobile), ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and any other assistant that supports remote MCP servers over HTTP.
Does it cost extra?
No. Connecting is free; paid work uses your credits exactly as it does in SpliceReel, and an edit costs 1 credit per started 60 seconds of footage. Your assistant tells you the price before anything starts.
Can the assistant see my password or card?
No. You sign in to SpliceReel yourself and approve the assistant; it gets access to your videos, scripts, calendar and credit balance, never your password or payment details.
How do I disconnect an assistant?
Open AI assistants in your SpliceReel dashboard and press Disconnect. It stops working at once; remove the connector in the assistant’s own settings too.
Can it render the final video?
Rendering happens in your browser so your footage never needs a media server. Your assistant gives you the editor link; press Export there and it gives you the download link afterwards.
Try it with your next video
New accounts get 2 free credits — enough to edit a first video from your assistant.
