Why we built it
Most short videos are one person talking to a camera. The editing they need is always the same — cut the pauses, caption the words, punch in on the point, add a title — and it eats the time that should go into the next idea.
AI editors promised to fix that, but most hand back a finished file you cannot change. SpliceReel hands back a storyboard: every cut, caption and title is visible, and every one can be changed by hand or in plain words.
What makes it different
- Cuts on words, not guesses: the AI points at words in your transcript, and silences are trimmed by rule, so nothing is clipped mid-sentence.
- You approve before it renders: the editor previews exactly what will be exported.
- Your style, learned: show it a few reels you like and it writes a style sheet of its own.
- Pay per video: credits that never expire, and nothing charged for work that fails.
